hELLO, MY NAME IS BRYAN PRATHER
For the past decade , (wow how time flies), I have been fascinated with all things birds. I started volunteering at Wild Bird Rehabilitation in 2009 and became a Board Member some time after that. Being a volunteer at WBR provided me with an experience with birds that is second to none. It was my joy to share what we do for STL Today in 2009. Little did I know that speaking engagements would be such an important part of my birding career. Throughout this time frame, I have done countless Bird related talks to groups and organizations ranging from Scout Groups, Rotary Clubs, The St. Louis Water Garden Society and the Gateway Parrot Club. In Aug. of 2017, I was honored to give a bird walk for St. Louis Magazine and the article was published in their Nov. 2017 edition. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology is using my photo to showcase a bird species for their online website, birdsna.org.
I am a self taught birder specializing in songs and calls, bird behavior, visual identification and where in the greater St. Louis area to find them. I have met some amazing people along the way and observed some truly unbelievable things with them. My goal is for participants to be fulfilled with their birding experience and to always have fun!
